Ladies in the Spotlight at the 8th Merit Open International Backgammon Championship

Thirty women competed in the Ladies Event at the 8th Merit Open International Backgammon Championship in Kyrenia, North Cyprus. Reyhan Gemici from Turkey and Elena Gromenkova from Russia made it to the final and will battle it out for the title. Eva Žižková (Czech Republic) and Maria Bonke (Denmark) were semi-finalists. The matches attracted a crowd of spectators wishing them all well.
