The Women in Backgammon Sunny Florida Women’s Achievement Awards

And, what a weekend it was! One of the goals of Women in Backgammon is to provide women the incentive to come to tournaments. With approximately 17% of tournament players sitting on our side of the gender pool, we need to make sure women know we are welcome at the tables, and that there are financial rewards for showing up.

For 2022, our goal is to provide $1,000 prize money in five tournaments (more if we can raise the money), and our first tournament where our prizes were awarded was the Sunny Backgammon Tournament in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Congrates to the winners!

The Women in Backgammon Sunny Florida Women’s Achievement Awards went to:

Marcy Kossar – Advanced division

Carol Exley – Intermediate division

Terry Welsh – Social division.

Thanks to those women who are funding our programs and awards and for supporting women in backgammon. We surely belong at the table!
